VIOLA, CHANGER EST ICI !!!!
(At Last, Change is Here!!)

Date Posted:   November 19, 2008

The moment 2008 rang in, American citizens and international patrons alike contemplated the outcome of what the process during the run for the presidency would be like.  Democrats, Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama, of two different minority groups caught the attention of the world as curiosity increased while questions and internal debates occurred to whether the next inauguration for presidency in the United States will have its first female president or an afro-american male.

With the economy being at the stage that it is, this is an election that many wanted to be a part of and more people felt it to be even more important to vote during this election as a comparison to presidential elections in the past.  On November 4, 2008, history presented itself when Senator (now President-Elect) Barack Obama won the election by a landslide with 364 electoral votes and 66,115,541 popular votes.  Senator and presidential candidate, John Mc Cain, received 162 electoral votes and 57,859,168 popular votes; in which was not a great win for the republican party.

During Obama’s acceptance speech, it was a wonderful inspiration to see his audience listening with all ears and absorbing every word he speaks.  In addition, Senator John McCain’s conception speech as awesome! Despite his disappointment, McCain definitely went out like a trooper while hushing his supporters who were booing each time Obama’s name was mentioned during his speech.

On January 20, 2009, President-Elect Barack Obama will be officially sworn in and live in the White House in Washington, DC with his wife and two daughters.  At this moment, many people around the world are routing for Obama with great anticipation that he will be able to lead the United States of America into a better financial direction and the job market will be restored.  A process that will not happen over night; but optimism worth having, a war worth shutting down, and a vision of American living and patronage that is worth saving.

This is the day that the world will be watching from both near and far for the next four years.  No matter the term, Barack Obama’s name has earned its place into American history books; future newspaper ads, magazines, and a slothful of websites to cover his story.
