iFLOW: Tell me where you are from 

INFMEGA:  Born in the Bronx, I was raised in Brooklyn. And I am back in the Bronx now. The place where hip hop was made (in the Bronx). 

iFLOW: Are you an artist? 

INFMEGA:  Yea, I am an artist. Not a rapper though.

iFLOW: If you are not a rapper, then what kind of artist are you? 

INFMEGA:  I don’t choose to get on the microphone and express myself over beats. I choose to express myself through a visual medium. By taking a writing that someone may give me, or a song that I may hear and translate that into something visual.   

iFLOW: Are you a video producer or a movie director? 

INFMEGA:   I am a video director primarily. I take on many hats as it pertains to music videos.  I am actually making that transition now to step into film. 

iFLOW:  With the music videos being more on demand now than they were in the past, how do you rate the budgets needed to create a decent video. Can some videos get their point across without the big budgets? 

INFMEGA:  Sure, I guess it all depends on the vision I either get or some artists bring to me.. Some artists come with a certain vision and it is up to me to translate it. It definitely can  be done on a low budget.  

iFLOW:  Ok, how should a starving artist proceed if they have an idea but may not know how much they will need to create something visual. Should they hold off from doing it? 

INFMEGA: You may have a big budget idea but  It should be discussed first by establishing the treatment. Our discussion should first be what the artist is looking for and then decide if the idea fits the artist’s budget.  We will then decide on what direction we should go in.  

iFLOW:  Who have you worked with to do a music video?  

INFMEGA:  I started out with my independent community. They have been very supportive and that is where I get a lot of my inspiration from. I have also worked with Swizz Beatz, Jay-Z, Just Blaze, Diddy, Maino, Saigon,. Sean C and LV (of Grind Music; produced  theRoc Boys), Mario Winans, and D Dot. I did behind the scenes for also ROC Boys. I have also worked with various managers and agents. I have done EPK, Pilots and Trailors for up coming shows.

iFLOW:  What else are you involved in (the music industry) besides directing shoots? 

INFMEGA: I have my own television show named “Grind Hard TV” that airs in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan. You can also see it online at www.grindhardtv.com.  

I produced tracks (music) also, I do voice-overs for mixtapes, and I worked with various independent artists to post their mix tapes. Producing music in is how I got started and I wanted a way to showcase artists, so I began shooting videos.  

iFLOW:  What’s Next 

INFMAN:  I may get on some "artsy fartsy" stuff and be an actor.  I will create a visual for some weird poetry that I wrote. I am doing the outlines to direct a series (I cannot speak on too much right now). I am producing film and highly involved in pulling a project together.  

iFLOW:  What does “Producing Means” in term of film? 

INFMEGA: Some people get it confused when they think of producing for a film, that it means you are creating the music for the film.  This is not the case. What it means is you are pulling the project together by casting, recruiting the professionals that will score the film, stage crew, etc.

iFLOW:  At the end of the day, who are you, what are you, and how do you perceive yourself to be?

INFMEGA: I am a man who is somebody that is working to be recognized in the world. At the end of the day I am an artist that paints pictures, creates visuals, and translates music, emotions, and feelings into a visual expression.  I perceive myself to be a little off; and odd commodity. In order to do what I do, you have to be ‘Off”. I am different (eccentric).
